Coaches

After spending 12 years in the Marine Corps I decided it was time to hang it up and go after my passion of CrossFit. I discovered CrossFit in late 2011 when I saw some other Marines destroying themselves. Since then I have been hooked. What I enjoy most is coaching and seeing people achieve what they thought was impossible not only physically but mentally. I opened CFI to have a community that encourages each other to be better in and out of the gym. I am here to have fun and enjoy the people around me.

Helloooo my name Henry Ulloa and I am a Coach here at CrossFit Inversion! Okay, just to start I know that finding what you want to do or even getting started to begin with in regards to your fitness goals can be tough, but we pride ourselves in being very welcoming and encouraging to your needs. If given the chance, our coaching staff would take strides towards helping you with your fitness goals. Regardless of the level of experience you may have, we could all use a little push as well as a few pointers along the way. Feel free to come try us out at no cost.
Now, as for me and my fitness I’ve definitely come a long way from where I had been! All throughout middle school and most of junior high I was overweight and couldn’t have given you one pull up if I really wanted to (crazy to think.) I came to a point where I realized I wanted better for myself and my body.
When I started working out it was through sports such as basketball and soccer. Over time I felt as though it wasn’t doing much for me so I made the switch over to Muay Thai which quickly became my favorite pass time. I had done kick boxing for about 3-4 years and was slowly coming into my own athleticism. When I entered high school, I played football and realized there was a whole new set of skills I wasn’t quite up to speed with yet, so I did my best to become a better athlete in all different areas such as strength, endurance, balance, etc.…After football season came to an end I was convinced by a friend to try a season of Rugby, this quickly became my favorite sport by far. I had played all throughout high school and played collegiate Rugby for 2 years. It was during this same time I had started doing CrossFit here and there since my mom had already been doing it for some time. I was only going during the off season between sports, or whenever I had the time. After doing CrossFit for about 6 months I realized this was the sport for me. It was about 2/3 years after joining that I decided to get my Level 1 to become a trainer and be more involved with the gym and members. It’s been about 3 years now since I first started coaching, it was and still is so amazing to see how far people progress in that time when they put their best foot forward. I hope to keep helping/pushing people along the way and have the same people help push me to be better.
